Feeling Good

Today I woke up feeling surprisingly good — my legs had forgiven me (well, partly) for yesterday’s uphill punishment. So, I decided today would be all about taking it easy: getting a much-needed haircut, doing a bit of people watching, and generally just relaxing.

I’ve now plotted a route that should spare me those marathon days of bike-pushing and sky-high ascents. This new plan includes a few handy pit stops — petrol stations and little local shops — so I can grab water or food when needed. I usually carry a mini survival stash of snacks and about two litres of water, but having convenience along the way is definitely a bonus.

To top off my leisurely day, I sampled one of the local specialties: Girice – Prilog Klompir Salata. It’s a Serbian-style potato salad served with sprats — tiny fish that taste just like sardines. Simple, salty, and seriously tasty!
