Sitting cosy on the bus to Mostar, I couldn’t help but feel pretty pleased with my decision to take a seat rather than the saddle today. The road outside was a lively mix of trucks, buses, and cars all jostling for space — chaos I was quite happy to watch from the comfort of my window seat.
As the journey went on, the lush autumn mountains began to fade, replaced by drier, stonier landscapes — but the moment I arrived in Mostar, the warmth returned. There’s something instantly welcoming about this city, the same friendly spirit I’ve felt throughout Bosnia.
This afternoon I wandered through the charming cobbled bazaars, entered a mosque and captured its peaceful beauty on video, chatted casually with stallholders, and soaked in all that makes Mostar so special.
Tomorrow, I’ll lace up my shoes for a hike to the big Cross overlooking the town — and after that, I’ll just let the day unfold, as it always does, beautifully and unexpectedly.
