Spent the day exploring Celje Castle, and what an adventure it was! Perched above the town, the climb rewarded me with incredible views over the valley. Wandering through the stone walls and towers, it felt like stepping back in time — hard to believe this place was once the seat of the mighty Counts of Celje in the 14th century. I loved imagining what life might have been like here, with knights roaming the halls and nobles plotting their next moves. History aside, it was simply a beautiful place to slow down, take in the views, and enjoy a little piece of Slovenia’s past.
