Yesterday was all about the littlest legends in the kitchen—three cooking classes full of energy, curiosity, and a whole lot of messy fingers. Luckily, I had Nirvana by my side, helping translate and keep things (somewhat) on track since not all the kids spoke English.
We had two large classes of six, which felt like the perfect mix of manageable chaos and adorable teamwork. Instead of traditional taco shells, we improvised—slices of bread were rolled flat with rolling pins, then cut into perfect little circles using jars. Honestly, pretty genius.
The toppings? Well, let’s just say the creativity was strong. Some kids kept it simple with lettuce-only or cheese-only “tacos,” while others went full master chef mode, piling on everything with pride.
And nothing went to waste—the leftover bread was transformed into delicious, spicy croutons, which disappeared just as quickly as they were made.
A little messy, a lot of fun, and proof that great cooking doesn’t need to be perfect… just enthusiastic!
