What a lovely week it’s been with the horses! Yesterday was a particularly special day, as it was graduation day for our group of eight.
Family and friends came along to watch these wonderful kids and adults showing off their riding skills, and what a proud bunch they were! There were plenty of smiles, happy faces and a few emotional moments as everyone received their very own certificate and medal. It was beautiful to see just how much it meant to them. Definitely one of those moments that reminds you why volunteering is so rewarding.
I’m still volunteering at the centre and will be back next Thursday. But there’s a little extra excitement on the cards… Luna, one of the horses I’ve become rather attached to, is going to be my riding companion for the day!
