My date with Luna

After last night’s storm, the morning greeted us with misty rain, puddles and enough slippery mud to be an adventure in itself.

But that wasn’t going to stop me. I was getting to ride Luna!

I’ve watched the children and adults arrive each week and confidently prepare their horses, the brushing, the bridle, the saddle, making it all look so effortless. Well, today it was my turn. No valet service this time! I was responsible for getting Luna ready, and let’s just say we were both learning something new.

Daisy, riding the beautiful chestnut horse, has MS and tells me that horse riding is her main therapy. After seeing the joy and freedom it brings, I can certainly understand why.

We spent around an hour riding, with Luna being an absolute star. Between the mist, muddy conditions and a few new experiences, it turned out to be an hour filled with wonderful memories.
