It started as a picture-perfect morning — blue skies, warm sunshine, and that crisp autumn magic in the air. I think today has to be one of my most enchanting days yet!
The scenery was straight out of a postcard — golden leaves, peaceful villages, and a 7 km ride circling the beautiful Pliva Lakes.
Along the way, I met a small colony of hungry cats and shared my last can of Dolores Tuna in spring water — a little treasure I’d been carrying all the way from Mexico. They devoured it with such enthusiasm that I wished I had brought a few extra cans just for them!
From there, it was on to cycling through tunnels, past the Bridge of Love, and alongside rapids that led to magnificent waterfalls.
Jajce has truly captured my heart, so I’ve decided to stay a couple of nights to explore the Fortress, the catacombs, and soak up every bit of this town’s incredible charm and ambience.
