From Snowcaps to Sea Breezes (and a Little Litter in Between)

It turned out to be one of those quietly perfect days. We finally had the time to drive further up the mountain and hike all the way to the top—and Mocha and Bandit came along for the adventure. Both dogs were on their very best behaviour, clearly proud to be part of the expedition.

The reward at the top was worth every step. Snow-capped mountains shimmered in the distance, while far below the inviting blue ocean stretched out endlessly. One slow panoramic turn was all it took to go from wintery peaks to seaside dreams.

Not everything was postcard-perfect, though. Sadly, it seems a few Alanya residents don’t mind using remote mountain roads as dumping grounds for rubbish and even old furniture. The bright spot? On the way down the other side, we passed a group of men doing the right thing—collecting smaller rubbish and bagging it up. A reminder that while some leave a mess, others quietly step up to clean it.
