Well, tonight we’re in Bajina Bašta — tucked right at the base of Tara National Park. This morning wasn’t exactly postcard weather, but we still had a nice wander around Mitrovac before heading back to cook up a proper egg breakfast. Nothing like simple comfort food after a foggy stroll!
The taxi ride down the mountain to Bajina Bašta was an adventure in itself — winding roads, dramatic cliffs, and about six to eight tunnels carved right through the rock. The formations were absolutely stunning!
We’ve got our bus tickets sorted for Novi Sad tomorrow, but for now, we’re enjoying this fabulous apartment. It’s got a Frida Kahlo and Mexico theme — vibrant, creative, and full of stories. The owner’s daughter has travelled the world, bringing back treasures that make the place feel like a little museum of memories. More about this gem coming soon in my Quirky Apartment Firsts!
