Ranch life this week has been a bit like a Mexican soap opera — only with more sausages, sewing and livestock!
Sunday night brought German guests, waffles and German sausages. Monday brought Jan from Sweden — and, thankfully, English! When everyone else switches to German or Spanish, I now have someone to talk with.
There’s been a complete staff reshuffle, Alan has stepped in brilliantly, and our new cook is someone I met on the tribal tour. Marilyn reckons I arrived at exactly the right time!
Meanwhile, I’ve been sewing shade sails for the pool, finally finishing one today. By hand, not machine!!
Tomorrow I’m taking a day off to tackle my Spanish lessons and resurrect my poor neglected ukulele. I’m heading to the lake to play — although I suspect the birds may evacuate once I start!
And Sunday? Another wildlife adventure with Marilyn.
Busy? Yes. Bored? Never!
