Start my journey to Serbia tomorrow

Tomorrow I’m off bright and early to Zagreb, Croatia’s lively capital, for a quick overnight stop before rolling on to Tovarnik up north. By Thursday I’ll be crossing the border into Serbia. All this will be done by trusty bus and train, as finding a hostel or hotel willing to store my bike while I hike Tara National Park turned into an impossible mission. The only alternative? A pricey storage shed—definitely not worth the euros.

Luckily, Gloria has kindly offered to keep my bike safe until I return mid-October. After that, who knows which way the compass will spin!

I’ve enjoyed my time here, though I must admit: if only Gloria owned a lawnmower. The effort I’ve put into taming the garden would look far more impressive without the jungle-like grass hiding every rock and bump. Still, not my lawn, not my problem!
