Well, my last few days here have arrived, and Thursday morning I’ll be heading off to my next adventure.
It’s been a busy weekend. I got quite a few things finished, including more curtains, and finally got the sail up beside the pool area.
Luckily, Kim has arrived — a German guy in his 40s who is very handy with maintenance. He helped me get it started, and when Alan arrived the next day, he was able to finish the really high bits. One job ticked off!
I’ve still got about four or five hours of curtains to finish, and Marilyn brought me more fabric today — apparently I’m now making tablecloths too! Hopefully I can get those started tomorrow and finished Wednesday before my early Thursday departure.
The lambs are doing brilliantly. The littlest one is seven days old today, getting stronger every day, and his bottom teeth are nearly through. He’s even trying to eat grass — although he hasn’t quite mastered that yet!
Kim has also been very upfront about a few food issues since arriving, and with him helping in the kitchen, our meals have improved considerably. And tonight should be a treat, as Jerome, is visiting, — and he was previously a Michelin chef!
So, one last busy few days, some sewing, happy lambs and hopefully a very good dinner tonight.
Then Thursday… I’m off again!
